About the team
The Performance Analysis Co-ordinator reports to the Senior librarian: Stock and is responsible for collecting and analysing performance management information as agreed by Senior Leadership Team to support the delivery of Inspiring Libraries My Place Strategy for Hertfordshire Libraries. They will also contribute to the design and management of specific systems and projects and oversee their implementation.
The post sits within the Service Development Team based at our Central Stocks Unit in Welwyn Garden City but could involve hybrid working.
The Central Stocks Unit will be relocating to St Albans within the next 2 years.
About the role
The Performance Analysis Co-ordinator is responsible for collecting and inputting Hertfordshire Library Service performance management information into databases and appropriate systems to provide accurate and timely information according to the Performance Reporting Schedule. The Performance schedule includes, the preparation of quarterly performance monitors submitted to Hertfordshire County Council Senior Management Board and monthly and quarterly updates to the Libraries and Heritage Service Plan Key Performance Indicators.
This role is responsible for maintaining systems for collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative feedback from internal and external customers, for example consultations and surveys, events and staff evaluations.
The Performance Analysis Co-ordinator is also responsible for developing and maintaining a programme of requests and reminders advising staff of procedures for data submissions to ensure that statistical returns are received to required deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy, ease of access and integrity of information.
Regular reports are submitted on our income to the finance team. Other data will need to be prepared for other service and national agencies as required.

- Confident engaging with library staff, HCC colleagues, partners and Members
- Able to use Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel including creating formula VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Able to use a range of web-based systems e.g. Google annalytics
Desirable:
- Able to use reporting systems
- Awareness of the Inspiring Libraries strategy
- Awareness of Universal Library Offers and other national developments
Taking on this role would give the post holder the opportunity to understand the Library Service from a unique perspective. Over time, they will gain specialist knowledge in an area of libraries and information where they will be the point of contact for day-to-day performance analysis functions for Hertfordshire Library Service.
