<h2>About the role</h2>What will I be doing?<ul>
<li>You’ll answer inbound calls and emails from our residents who require repairs to their council properties.</li>
<li>Responsible for providing accurate information, advice and assistance to our residents.</li>
<li>Using our in house IT systems, issuing jobs accurately and assigning these to the relevant trade team</li>
<li>Liaising directly with other teams within the council, both verbally and in writing.</li>
<li>Conducting customer surveys via outbound calls</li>
<li>Providing excellent customer service</li>
</ul>What we are looking for<ul>
<li>Strong communication and empathy skills</li>
<li>A good standard of IT skills</li>
<li>A high level of attention to detail</li>
<li>A genuine passion for helping others</li>
<li>Ability to work as part of a team but also able to work under your own initiative</li>

<li>Someone who is comfortable interacting with a wide range of people from a variety of backgrounds and some who may be vulnerable</li>

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

We are looking for a Parking Services officer to join our small parking team.
As a Parking Services Officer you will deliver an efficient, effective, and high-quality customer focussed Parking Service working directly with external organisations in the delivery of Civil Parking Enforcement.
You will be responsible for processing and actioning all appeals and representations for Penalty Charge Notices received for both Arun District Councils off-street car parks and on-street on behalf of West Sussex County Council.
The role requires you to produce monthly and quarterly KPI monitoring reports along with cash reconciliation on a daily basis.
The role also requires you to communicate with customers face to face, via email, and telephone, alongside dealing with enquires from internal and external stakeholders.
We offer an opportunity to develop your skills, join a supportive and friendly team, and the chance to shape and better the parking environment within Arun.
The job is based at the Civic Centre in Littlehampton, and this will be your contractual job location. However, it is likely there will be some working from home and so you will need an appropriate space to work from. You will also be required to attend our Bognor Office at the Bognor Regis Town Hall.
Interviews will be in person at the Arun Civic Centre, on Wednesday 16 July 2025 and Thursday 17 July 2025.
