An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Rehabilitation Officer for Visually Impaired, 28 hours for a fixed tern 9 months within the Community Resource Team, based at Tredegar. You will promote independence and reduce risk for people with a visual impairment who are living in the community. You will work with individuals to carry out person centred assessments to identify needs and take appropriate action.
You will be involved in providing independent living skills and mobility training to people with a visual impairment including providing specialist equipment. You will also participate in delivering sensory awareness training as required to ensure other service providers are aware of the impact of sensory impairment.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive
pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure
Access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement of the role.
