About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our small team of Support and Activity staff at Woodham Social Centre, New Haw, Addlestone. We aim to provide high quality day services and activities for our older residents of Runnymede.
The Centre not only offers a traditional home cooked meal, but there is also a well-stocked tea bar with freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and drinks. The key duties of our Support staff are organise and encourage centre users to take part in our daily activities, offer support so the can access facilities whilst using the centre and monitor and identify possible changes in level of need.
Although no experience is necessary, as we provide full training, we are looking for someone who is empathetic and understands the issues facing our older population. Some basic administration duties might also be required.
Flexibility is key so we can maintain service delivery across our various sites and services, as we would expect this person to assist in the covering sickness and holiday periods or support in the event of a civil emergency.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- Basic Literacy and numeracy
- Previous experience of working with older people
- Organised
- Flexible - Able to assist at another centre when required
- Ability to work well as a team
- Willing to undertake training
- Empathetic
