The role
An exciting opportunity now exists for a dynamic nature conservation professional to support the delivery of the council’s biodiversity strategy, Creating space for nature in Camden. You will engage individuals, diverse communities and organisations with nature, communicating the council’s aspirations and activities, as well as encouraging people to take action for nature through information provision, support and events.
In this role, you will lead comprehensive stakeholder mapping and communications channel strategies for reaching key audiences, including working in innovative ways to promote and engage with the biodiversity strategy and reach out to, and involve diverse and under-represented groups in our community. This work will inform the development of communication and participation plans and the structured engagement with partners (Camden Nature Partnership), including identifying barriers to engagement with nature, and seeking solutions to these barriers.

About You
We are looking for an experienced nature conservation professional with a proven track record in inclusive outreach and engagement work. You will bring strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills in order to develop and maintain strong, creative and productive partnerships.
You will have experience of planning, promoting and running wildlife themed events for a diversity of audiences.
You will have a relevant degree or qualification in biology, ecology, nature conservation or horticulture.
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check
