We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager for our Family Placement Team, this is a part time opportunity working 22.2 hours per week.

About you...
As an Assistant Team Manager in our Family Placement Team, you will share our commitment to improving outcomes for those children in our care, working part time (22.2 hours per week) alongside our existing managers.
You will be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, and have significant post qualifying experience working with children and families in the statutory sector. You will want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people.
You will have experience of working within the legal frameworks that support our work; with good assessment and analytical skills, and experience in completing Form F, Special Guardianship Orders and Connected Person Assessments as well as supervising and supporting our existing foster carers.
As an Assistant Team Manager, you will have a sound knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, good report writing and oral communication skills and the ability to work to court and Fostering Panel timescales.

The Family Placement Team is a small and very supportive team. The work we do can be challenging and we understand the importance of peer support and advice.
We work closely together and alongside the children’s social workers to ensure that we are providing the best support to our vulnerable children.
Our social workers have the time to get to know everyone they work with, excellent support from managers and colleagues across the department and expert guidance whenever they need it.

Key responsibilities...
- Contributing to the effective management of the Family Placement Team under the guidance of the Team Manager.
- Line Management responsibility for social workers, family workers, business support and publicity officers and recruitment officers.
- Ensuring timely completion of documentation, such as: Form F, SGO (Special Guardianship Order) and Form C assessments.
- Supporting the team to meet its statutory duties in terms of annual reviews, checks and visits.
