Whilst the successful candidate will be primarily based in Cannock, you may be required on occasion to work at sites across the Cannock Chase and Stafford Borough areas.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The main duties of the post will be to assist with general administrative and clerical duties as part of a team dealing with the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax. This will involve dealing with members of the public in person, by telephone and in correspondence and so the successful candidates will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate must have the ability to assimilate complex and changing legislation and needs to be able to use a computer to input and retrieve data. You also need to be able to work accurately and to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You should hold GCSE’s at Grade C or above in Mathematics and English or have equivalent vocational or academic experience.
