You will investigate discrepancies, review all reductions, discounts, and exemptions to ensure that they are granted correctly, where incorrect, the reductions, discounts and exemptions are removed or reduced accordingly and where appropriate penalties are imposed in line with policies and legislation. To review all fraud referrals within Revenues and Benefits team for veracity and decide whether these should be pursued.
