About the role
Guildford Borough Council is seeking an Adaptation Support Officer to work within the Community Services team to deliver a client led professional service to customers that need additional support to maintain independence within their own home.
You will be the first point of contact for clients accessing the adaptations service. You will take new referrals, provide advice, guidance and information to clients, colleagues and partner agencies. You will be assisting in triaging and allocating cases appropriately and visiting clients in their own homes to check works. Training will be made available so you are then able to assess for minor adaptations.
You will be working closely with our in-house Occupational Therapists, Adaptation Surveyor and other professionals in our adaptations team, to assist with administration duties for the service and allowing the team to focus on their professional roles.
About you
If you can work to a high standard, along with being self-motivated to delivery high quality services across a variety of tasks and duties and have an ambitious outlook in consistently improving and driving service offering to our tenants, then you have found the right role.
