Assistant Premises Officer
The leadership team and governors of Springwell Park Primary School are looking to appoint a skilled, committed, reliable, self-motivated Assiatnt Premises Officer to join our hardworking team. We are looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic person with the necessary practical abilities to maintain our building to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of our Site Manager to ensure that all site activities are conducted efficiently and safely. This will include the management of the designated premises, including the building maintenance, cleanliness, security and maintenance of furnishings, fixtures plant and heavy equipment in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment for students, staff and other users of the school’s premises.
We are looking for a team player who is able to react to a dynamic environment which ensures the smooth running of the school. The ideal candidate will foster excellent relationships with all members of staff at all levels in the school to provide a ‘can do’ attitude to setting up rooms for various school activities and events and oversee external contractors working on the designated premises; whilst assisting the Site Manager with compliance with statutory regulation, ensuring we maintain safe places for our students, colleagues and visitors.
Hours will be 1.45pm – 6.15pm Monday to Friday term time only. There will be up to 10 additional late nights each year to accommodate Governors Meetings and Parents Evenings.
This position is fixed term from 01.09.25 - 31.08.26 in the first instance, and subject to a 6 month probationary period.
