We're on the lookout for a dynamic and engaging Sessional Skills Tutor to deliver our Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification to enthusiastic learners aged 19+ who are eager to embark on a rewarding career in schools. You'll be equipping them with the essential skills and understanding to thrive in a classroom environment. You'll bring the curriculum to life through your engaging teaching style, drawing on your own experiences and insights to make learning both practical and inspiring.
St Helens Adult and Community Learning team (part of St Helens Borough Council) offers a range of free learning opportunities to eligible residents aged 19+. We deliver life-changing learning through a range of non-accredited and qualification based courses including health and wellbeing, functional skills, ESOL and childcare & education. Smaller class sizes mean learners develop confidence in an inclusive environment where they feel valued and respected.
Our dedicated team are passionate about providing high quality learning experiences to help our learners reach their full potential. Ofsted rated us as 'good' in 2023 and we are proud that over 99% of our learners consistently rate our courses good/excellent.

What will you bring to the role?
- Expertise: A deep understanding of the Level 2 CACHE Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or its equivalent) and its practical application in schools.
- Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engagement: The ability to create dynamic and interactive sessions that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with learners and support their progress.
