About the role
Speech & Language Therapist (Maternity cover contract)
Term time only, Part Time 0.8 / 30.75 hrs per week
Salary dependant on skills and experience.
St Mary’s School is looking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic therapist (maternity cover contract) with demonstrable interest in, or experience of, working with complex speech, language and communication needs. This is a fixed term maternity cover contract from approx. early September 2025.
St Mary’s is a residential special school and college for pupils / students aged 5 to 19 with speech, language and communication needs, learning difficulties and other associated SEND. Our pupils are a delight to work with and we have a highly positive and friendly staff team.
You will be a member of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for assessing, planning and delivering individualised intervention programmes for a defined caseload. You will work with children individually or in small groups within classroom-based sessions and specialist therapy spaces to enable pupils to access the curriculum and promote meaningful engagement in school-based tasks.
HCPC and RCSLT registration is essential. Experience of working in an educational setting is desirable. NQP therapists are welcome to apply.
