The role
The primary responsibility of the Web Analyst will be data analysis and reporting, using tools such as Google Analytics and other web analytics tools with the ability to define and implement measures and metrics, analyse and communicate impact of data and providing insights that allow us to make ongoing improvements.
The Web Analyst will provide valuable insights that help develop successful products, services and further develop our tools including design systems and service patterns, understanding usage at a deep level which, alongside work with our user researchers and communities create a full picture enabling us to understand the numbers, the detail of where our user experiences need improvement and how we can most effectively monitor insight on an ongoing basis.
The role will be relationship and data focused and require working with wide ranging stakeholders. This work will help services, elected members, community partners and the public have a better understanding of our citizens and the borough and so help with the delivery of targeted services which have the most beneficial impact for our citizens.
You will undertake all duties with due regard to the provisions of health and safety regulations and legislation, Data Protection/GDPR, the Council’s Equal Opportunities and Customer Care policies.
About You
You will be an experience data analyst, expert in shaping and communicating insights from data in a way that is accessible to a wide audience.
You will be confident working with a range of stakeholders and able to help spread the use of data and insights to improve decision making and enable better outcomes for the citizens we serve.
You will have a deep understanding of how and when to apply various tools and techniques which can be used to analyse data including advanced understanding and experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HotJar, LookerStudio, Silktide, Screaming Frog and VWO (or equivalent and relevant software).
Familiar with Data Protection Act and EU General Data Protection Regulation and application of relevant elements.
