In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) enquiries and representations are handled efficiently and professionally at every stage of the PCN process. You will ensure responses are provided within statutory timeframes and in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures.</p> <p>Additionally, you will play a crucial role in preparing case summaries and evidence packs for adjudication hearings at the parking tribunal service. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to the smooth operation of our parking services and the wider aims of the Environment and Sustainable Transport service.</p> <p>Previous experience working within the parking industry and handling parking-related correspondence and complaints is highly desirable; however, training will be provided. The successful candidate will be required to investigate and respond appropriately to penalty charge notice representations, appeals, and enquiries in line with legislation and council policies. Additionally, the officer must possess excellent IT and administration skills, as they will be required to manage their own caseload and support other team members when necessary.</p> <p>Attention to detail is paramount, along with a genuine commitment to and experience in delivering first-class customer service. The role also demands strong critical thinking and investigative skills to thoroughly examine cases and make informed decisions. We are looking to appoint Correspondence and Appeals Officers to join our dedicated back office team.
