Staffordshire Registration Services is seeking positive individuals who have experience working in front-facing, customer-focused environments. You will play a key role in delivering high quality services for the registration of birth, deaths, stillbirths, marriages, civil partnership, citizenship, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice.

We have 2 vacancies specifically in our Burton Registration Office but we do also have 2 vacancies in other Registration Offices across Staffordshire. On your application form, please indicate your preference(s). Please feel to tick both options.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be involved in:
- The registration of births, deaths, still birth and notice of marriage within the statutory framework.
- carrying out duties of Deputy Superintendent Registrar and Deputy Registrar when attending marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.
- carrying out duties in relation to citizenship and discretionary ceremonies
- issuing requests for copy certificates
- maintaining and undertaking auditable records of all day to day financial transactions within the office.
- travelling between the Registration Offices and Sub-Offices, and to other locations in connection with registration purposes.
We are looking for enthusiastic, professional, flexible individuals, committed to providing excellent customer service and achieving high quality standards.
We also need you to be able to:
- Ability to handle sensitive situation and respond flexibly to changing situations.
- Proven ability to work to a high degree of accuracy, both independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience in customer facing role/s
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience of using a range of ICT applications and digital platforms
