We work closely with the Brokerage Accommodation Team and a number of other stakeholders to fulfil this function.</p><h4>About the role</h4><p>The successful applicant will have a varied role:</p><p>You will be instrumental in creating, developing, and implementing commissioning strategies, collaborating closely with key stakeholders and service users to enhance services for Hertfordshire’s Children and Young People (CYP). Your role will also involve overseeing commissioned services to ensure they maintain high standards, are safe, provide value for money, and prioritise our children and young people in their design and delivery.</p><p>An element of the role will be to undertake visits in various locations in Hertfordshire and nationally, requiring the ability to travel to venues.</p><p>This role is based at Farnham House in Stevenage, but current working practice allows for a hybrid mix of office based and home working.</p><h4>About you</h4><p>We are seeking a candidate with strong expertise in commissioning, contracts, procurement, service development, and project management, alongside excellent communication and partnership-building skills. Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders, including service providers, is essential. Attention to detail and the ability to analyse needs, interpret data, and produce comprehensive reports for senior managers and Council representatives are key aspects of the role.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have a background in local council operations, with an understanding of political structures.
