The Role:
- The role of Technical Support Officer is to provide technical and administrative support in relation to any of the functions provided by the Planning Service including validation of all types of application received. To champion customer service to provide a modern, customer focussed, business friendly service
- In the role of Technical Support Officer you will be expected to provide technical and administrative support within the Service, in a flexible manner ensuring that an effective, efficient and customer focussed service is delivered within required timescales and to provide support in relation to any of the functions undertaken by the Service to enable specific and overall objectives of the team to be achieved
- Your demonstrable knowledge as a Technical Support Officer includes Competencies associated with NVQ Level 3 in Administration/ Business Studies and proven experience of working in a busy office.
- The role of the Technical Support Officer is in the Planning and Building Control Service and is part of a highly skilled, technical support team and the role is pivotal in validating and processing all planning and building control applications and providing support across the whole service. It is customer focussed with the emphasis on providing a modern, business friendly planning service.
- The Technical Support Officer will ideally be experienced in the use of GIS mapping systems
