We are specifically looking for someone who is committed, dedicated, with experience of working directly with children and families.</p>\n<p><br>The mission of the team is to provide a child first, trauma informed and relationship-based service to reduce anti-social behaviour, children entering the criminal justice system, and children becoming exploited. The service will support vulnerable children, some who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences, those who are most excluded, so above all, you will need to have the drive, passion, and commitment to making a difference for these children. </p>\n<p><br><strong>The role:</strong> As a Youth Engagement Worker, you will directly support children and families referred to the service through gaining an understanding of their needs, ensuring a strengths-based approach to planning, and delivering bespoke interventions. A key aspect to the role is your ability to engage children and families who may be challenging. You will need to be creative in the way that you work with complex families, engaging them to build on the positives whilst having a strong understanding of the impact of exploitation, trauma and adverse childhood experiences.</p>\n<p><br>This role will require you to be creative and innovative in developing and delivering interventions and community projects to support positive outcomes for children, families and communities in Knowsley.  </p>\n<p>In return you will get great benefits; we are committed to flexible working to improve productivity and wellbeing.  For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time.You will receive regular supervision, support, and benefit from opportunities for continuous professional development.
