About the role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring, creative teacher to join our successful, friendly primary school from September 2025. We welcome applications from ECTs. Full or part time hours will be considered for the right applicant.
St Mary Star of the Sea is a one form entry Catholic primary school and the children are at the very centre of everything we do. Our school is committed to ensuring we deliver the highest quality education through exploration, enjoyment and creativity. We work hard to ensure our children fulfil and achieve their full potential and be the best they can be. We have a strong tradition of success in sports and music and close links to our parish family and the wider community.
We are a good school (Ofsted 2024) with high ambition for our pupils. The Catholic life and teaching in our school is outstanding.
We are looking for an outstanding teacher who:
- Has exemplary classroom practice and high expectations of learning across all curriculum areas
- Is able to provide inspiring, creative and ambitious educational experiences
- Has previous experience working within KS1 or KS2
- Is passionate about and committed to providing high quality learning opportunities
- Has a good understanding of assessment for learning and will provide challenges for all abilities
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Is completely supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school, prepared to teach R.E and will participate fully in worship
