We are seeking to appoint an experienced Tenancy Anti-Social Behaviour Officer at level C. You will meet the requirements of the person specification fully and can demonstrate applied knowledge, experience and skills in this role. All elements within the person specification are essential. You will be supported through induction, probation and a supportive Performance Appraisal and Career Conversation, which can include identifying and supporting the achievement of professional goals
Medway Council Landlord Services owns and manages around 3200 homes in the Medway area. We aim to provide excellent services to tenants.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Anti-Social Behaviour professional to join our Tenancy Team and help us continue to provide excellent services to our customers. Main duties include:
To record, investigate and report on all incidents of ASB in accordance with Medway Council’s policies and procedures.
To undertake a victim and perpetrator risk assessments, ensuring that vulnerable residents are identified and have appropriate support in place.
To effectively investigate and manage serious cases of ASB and prepare for legal action where necessary. To ensure that cases have been fully investigated following Medway Council’s policies and procedures
To provide guidance to victims and witnesses through the legal process as a named contact including updating complainants and victims as to development of cases.
To develop and maintain positive links with residents and agencies including the Police, Youth Offending Teams, Kent Fire & Rescue, Department for Work & Pensions, other council services, social housing providers, Probation Service, relevant community, and voluntary agencies.
To represent HRA Housing in partnership meetings
To attend resident surgeries, community engagement events and partnership meetings as required by the Tenancy Manager. This will include but is not limited to multi-agency partnership meetings, adult and/or child protection conferences, domestic abuse MARAC’s and case conferences.
Work closely with the Tenancy Management Officers where there is a cross over of anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches.
To maintain a working knowledge of legislation related to anti-social behaviour, enforcement and data protection, ensuring attendance at training as appropriate.
To supervise a Anti-Social Behaviour apprentice.
You must be able to demonstrate:
Experience of working in a front-line customer focused environment dealing with Anti-social Behaviour.
Excellent customer service skills.
A working knowledge of anti-social behaviour and tenancy management law and good practise.
A commitment to teamwork, and to providing excellent customer services.
A current driving license and daily access to a vehicle.
A standard DBS check required.
Able to prioritise and manage your own workload and meet competing deadlines.
The successful post holder will be subject to a Standard DBS check.

Career Progression Frameworks (CPF) have been introduced for all roles at Medway Council. These frameworks provide a mechanism for employees to take ownership of their development within their post and be rewarded accordingly. This means that the salary you will be offered will be at level A unless, based on an assessment against the CPF criteria, you demonstrate that you are meeting the criteria of level B or C.
