Waste Collection Operatives

Pendle Council’s Waste Collection Operatives work as part of a team carrying out the collection of domestic or commercial waste from properties throughout the Borough.

Duties will include the collection of domestic & trade waste (both loose and in wheelie bins), provision of an assisted collection service, the collection of bulky DIY waste, the removal of fly-tipped waste, the clearing of snow or filling and delivery of sandbags during periods of inclement weather.

As such it is essential you are physically capable of bending, lifting, carrying, and walking at a fast pace.  A task focussed, flexible attitude to work, and willingness to work overtime at short notice are also essential.
