You’ll be undertaking a variety of groundworks and highways work, with a strong emphasis on Tarmacking, digger driving and NRSWA street works.\n \nThe working week consists of 37hrs (Monday – Friday) with flexibility to work overtime to meet specific demands. Regular working in adverse conditions could be required with the role.\n \nAbout you \n \nYou will need to hold a valid Class 1 HGV licence.\n \nThe Street Scene Team carries out the following works and the ideal candidate will be proficient in at least several of these:\n \n \nExcavation / drainage\nTarmacking (hot lay, asphalt / bitumen)\nConstruction of footpaths / steps\nGroundwork\nInstallation of street furniture\nWatercourse clearance & maintenance\n \nYou’ll need to be able to work easily as a part of a team and use your own initiative when required. You’ll need to be polite, courteous, and have a reasonable amount of initiative and independence.\n \nYou should be able to work to a very high standard and at an acceptable pace to ensure the customer receives the quality service they expect from our team.
