At Park Primary School, we know that every member of staff makes a difference - and our Teaching Assistants are no exception. We¿re proud of the support team we’ve built and are committed to developing every individual through weekly staff meetings, access to training and qualifications, and close support from experienced colleagues.
We are now looking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant (TA1) to join our warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of their career in education - whether you're newly qualified, returning to work, or simply passionate about working with children.
We welcome applicants with an interest in Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, and we are particularly interested in candidates who want to grow their skills in supporting children with communication needs, behaviour, SEMH, or additional learning needs.
The successful candidate will:
Be enthusiastic, reliable, and ready to support children’s learning and wellbeing
Have experience working with children (in a school, childcare, or voluntary capacity)
Be committed to inclusion and willing to support children with additional needs
Be keen to learn and grow within a supportive and experienced team
Be able to build warm, professional relationships with pupils and staff
Work flexibly, using initiative while following guidance from the class teacher
Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils
In return, Park Primary School offers:
A nurturing environment where staff and pupils are valued
Weekly TA team meetings and access to training tailored to your role
Opportunities to progress to TA2 or TA3 level through in-school development routes
A positive and experienced team who will support your journey
-A school that is committed to inclusion, wellbeing and professional learning
Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification.
The working hours during term time are typically 8:40-15:30 Monday to Friday with a 17:00 finish for staff meeting/development once a week. A personalised timetable will be issued annually. You will also work the five inset days across the year for targeted CPD activities.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed on Tuesday 17th June at 4pm.
