Looking to grow your Finance career whilst making a real difference? We're on the hunt for a self-motivated Principal Accountant to join our supportive and fast-paced Children and Young People's Finance Team. The successful candidate will provide support to the Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager in ensuring the provision and maintenance of sound financial services and systems and the provision of high quality financial information to budget managers. This post will be supporting essential Children's Services and Schools across St Helens. The role will include preparing and maintaining Capital and Revenue budgets, supporting the production of the annual statement of accounts and providing effective financial management service
The successful candidate will have excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills, effective decision making skills, the ability to work to deadlines and to respond to the ad-hoc needs of the service.
