Candidates must possess the necessary right to work authorisation to enable them to work for Chesterfield Borough Council. Regrettably, we are unable to provide sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa at this juncture.
We are looking for an exceptional and experienced programme manager to lead the delivery of our ambitious £20 million Plan for Neighbourhoods programme. Working alongside the Chesterfield Town Board, this programme aims to deliver a range of strategic projects to transform our town centre.
Following extensive community engagement, we have developed a vision to create a vibrant and welcoming town centre that has a reputation as a quality location to live, visit, and invest. We want to create new opportunities for residents, visitors, and businesses, and to continue our town’s economic transformation.
We need an experienced programme manager to work in partnership with key stakeholders to develop a range of projects and interventions that will realise our ambitious programme and ensure residents benefit from this once-in-a-generation investment.
Ongoing community engagement is essential to ensure residents are aware of and involved in the opportunities presented by the programme. You will also need to provide high-quality support and advice to the independent Town Board, ensuring that effective management and governance structures are in place to create a lasting legacy.
We are excited about Chesterfield’s future and are looking for the right person to help us deliver the Plan for Neighbourhoods programme and shape the future of our town. This is a full-time post and a crucial role within the Council’s Economic Development Team.
If you would like an informal chat about the role, please contact Lynda Sharp, Head of Economic Development, at Lynda.sharp@chesterfield.gov.uk or for further information on this post please view the job description and person specification attached.
