Cleaning Operative

 The Neighbourhood and Environmental Services Directorate within Blaenau Gwent are looking to recruit a Cleaning Operative on a permanent basis at Ebbw Fawr Secondary Phase for 15 hours per week 41 weeks of the year to undertake cleaning duties in establishments within the borough.

 The successful candidate will clean any designated area to a set standard by use of chemicals, equipment and machinery. The successful candidate will also maintain their cupboard, equipment and machinery by cleaning and ensuring correct storage after use.  You will also place orders when replacement chemicals and equipment are required.

The successful candidate should be able to work as part of a team, have the ability to use their own initiative and be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the position.

COSHH and basic Health and Safety plus experience is desirable.

 This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure with Child Barred List.
