The Post
The postholder will lead on the reconciliation for Payroll, Pensions and Barclaycards on a monthly basis, as well as be responsible for the preparation of notes for audit for annual statement of accounts.
They will act as the main contact between key service areas such as Payroll and Finance teams, identifying and taking appropriate actions on any issues related to reconciliation, and in turn troubleshooting root causes and suggesting innovative solutions to correct these and avoid future errors.
You will also lead on patch testing for any new updates in Oracle Cloud for the team. This position will be at the forefront of introducing continual improvements to the Council’s key business systems to achieve efficiencies and improve user experience.
You will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and be highly organised and detail conscious, with the ability to prioritise and work under time constraints to deliver solutions.
With your excellent analytical and presentation skills, the successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with the capability and confidence to work on your own initiative as well as knowledge share and work effectively in a high performing team environment.
The ideal candidate will have a finance background and a sound understanding of financial practices and will be at the leading edge of innovation, providing support to services and act as the liaison between internal teams and external support teams, when required.
