Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.</p>\n<p>The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.</p>\n<p>This position presents an exciting and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the agenda by leading on the operation and delivery of Admissions and School Place Planning for Brent. </p>\n<p><strong>The Post holder will:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>lead the Admissions and School Organisation team, ensuring development, shaping and delivery of statutory, and required non-statutory, services in respect of admissions to school.</li>\n<li>hold responsibility for ensuring the statutory functions of the LA are carried out in respect of school admissions so statutory deadlines and targets are met</li>\n<li>lead the commissioning or de-commissioning of adequate numbers of school places, in line with government policy, through ongoing development of the School Place Planning Strategy</li>\n<li>project manage individual school organisation and school-related projects, providing a bespoke advice and support service to stakeholders while ensuring the Council’s duties are performed in accordance with guidance and legislation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>The Person</strong></p>\n<p>This is a high profile and challenging role that can make a positive contribution to the services that Brent provides for its community.
