Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.
Come and join our team and make a difference.
We are recruiting for an individual with experience and enthusiasm in community engagement and sustainability to make a difference in Redbridge across our Neighbourhood Street Scene services.
You will have a focus on supporting our upcoming waste service changes.
The role includes education, project work and promotions to engage and support residents to reduce waste, build stronger communities, and improve the local environment. You will be confident in engaging with residents in a range of settings and be willing to expand their skills in this area.
The role requires an enthusiasm for caring for our environment and behaviour change as well as for galvanising positive community action. This can be based on professional and personal experiences.
You will be creative, innovative, well organised, a self starter and able to work on a range of projects and monitor and report on their delivery. Collaboration with a team and commitment to continual professional development along with flexibility will be key to your success in the role. This is a very varied role, no two days will be the same!
Occasional evening and weekend working is required, a full clean driving licence is desirable.
