This is an exciting opportunity to join the Adur & Worthing Wellbeing Team and play your part in promoting and supporting local people to live healthier lifestyles.
Adur and Worthing Wellbeing are looking for a highly motivated person to work as part of the team working with adults to provide advice and guidance to individuals and groups to enable long term lifestyle behaviour change.
This role is a dual role which is part administration which will involve using behaviour change techniques, to triage and assess individuals accessing the service suitability for the service, data inputting and other administrative duties. The second part of this role will involve training to become a wellbeing advisor with on the job training and experience to support individuals to reduce their risk of long term health conditions: heart disease / stroke, cancer and type 2 diabetes. This will include one-to-one sessions and group work with clients and promotional work such as giving talks, attending events and taking an active role in health promotion campaigns.
Referring/signposting people to relevant organisations will be key to this role and full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
The successful postholder is subject to an Enhanced with Adults Barred List DBS check.
