We are looking to recruit experienced teaching assistants for both school sites; Everton Road PR8 4BT and Edge lane L23 4TG. Positions to start in September 2025
Newfield Primary (SEMH) opened in the summer term of 2024 and supports primary children within Sefton. This new site based in Southport area will be under the leadership of the existing Newfield School site based in Edge Lane in Thornton. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work alongside current experienced Newfield Staff at the new site. Experience in working with SEMH children would be an advantage but not essential.
We also have three posts at the Edge Lane Site (L23 4TG), experienced staff with pupils who have a diagnosis of SEMH would be an advantage.
Start dates for posts are subject to references and DBS clearance.
Due to the nature of work the above posts are exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation. Appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the DBS service.
