This is your opportunity to be an integral part of this innovative service that is focused on keeping families together, tackling issues proactively, and building lasting resilience with the aim to safely prevent and reduce the number of children and young people from entering the care system in Barnsley.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As an Intensive Prevention Practitioner you will work with children aged 10-18 years who are at risk of becoming Looked After by the Local Authority. The team will undertake intensive, targeted and creative work with families, including one-to-one and family sessions, to strengthen family relationships and reduce the likelihood of reception into care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The purpose of this post is to provide intensive support to young people and their families to overcome barriers which may be impacting on their health, social and emotional and educational needs to improve their outcomes and reach their full potential whilst remaining in their family.
