About the role

Are you ready to take the next step forward in management? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen in our Learning Disability Day Services.

As a Team Leader you will be part of a great management team providing day services to adults with a learning disability in Crowborough. Ensuring the service provides excellent, strength based and outcome focused support to clients, so they have a great day and are part of their local community. Leading support staff to provide excellent opportunities and support to clients. Leading and building the team, making day to day decisions, considering health & safety and quality assurance.

As a Team Leader, you lead in making a real difference to a person’s life by ensuring we have skilled and competent teams who attend to the small and personal details that really matter to our clients. Coaching and mentoring the team, bring good communication skills.

You will Lead and coordinate a staff team, including rota planning. Liaise with parent’s carers, stakeholders, and other professionals, attend associated meetings, preparing reports and support planning.

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed person to join us in the role as team Leader in our Day Service in Crowborough.

We are looking for Candidates who

  • Are able to lead a team of support workers to provide responsive support to people with a learning disability.
  • Are committed to providing excellent support, undertake continuous learning, and have a good team working ethos.
  • Have good ICT skills, including proficient use of Word, Excel, email and Outlook with the ability to produce information in an accessible format.
  • Have the ability to build and maintain professional and positive relationships with stakeholders, parents, carers and colleagues to benefit the individuals we support.
  • Have good leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle at all times.

This position is graded at Single Status 8, with scale points of 20 to 22, which equate to £27,861 to £29,783 per annum. This post is for 30 hours per week over 4 days and the salary will be pro rata.

We currently operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  You will need to be available to work between the hours of 8:00 to 19:30 on a rota basis.
