LEGAL SERVICES SECTION

COMMERCIAL PROPERTY LAWYER (Full Time –Temporary)

GRADE 10 (£39,186 - £42,403)

Would you like to be part of a small busy legal team providing comprehensive legal advice, particularly in the property field and whilst knowledge and experience of working in a Local Authority would be beneficial, it is not essential.

The post is initially for a three month period but will be subject to review.

The successful candidate will undertake a rewarding varied caseload of commercial property related matters, so previous experience of assisting/ managing a commercial property caseload is essential, within either public sector or private practice.

The role covers the breadth of commercial property work and therefore you will be responsible for a full caseload dealing with complex and varied matters. You will be expected to undertake all aspects of legal work including drafting and negotiating commercial leases and agreements, researching and problem solving, and providing high quality accurate legal advice on a range of legal issues.

You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and will need excellent communication and IT skills. You are expected to have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels and be able to work under pressure, with minimal supervision, with accuracy, to meet competing priorities and deadlines, and have a pragmatic approach.

In return, we can offer a full and attractive range of benefits, including a structured training programme, free parking, and flexible/hybrid working arrangements.

If you wish to join an enjoyable yet challenging working environment that forms part of an organisation committed to making a real difference for the community that we serve, then we want to hear from you.

For an informal discussion about this position, please contact Mary Grimshaw on 01253 887214.
