Regeneration Officer

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

Brent Council is looking for a creative and experienced regeneration practitioner to join our Regeneration Team. We want to hear from people passionate about the role that regeneration can play in positively changing places. Brent is one of the most dynamic outer London boroughs. We want to maximise the benefits of investment for inclusive growth and create positive impacts for our communities.

The role will focus on regeneration of the borough’s growth and opportunity areas, including Alperton, Church End, Neasden, Staples Corner and Wembley. Place-making and promotion of regeneration and growth to attract investment into the borough will be central to your role in the Regeneration Team, as we seek to deliver new homes, jobs and infrastructure for local residents, businesses and communities.

The Person

Working on a range of projects from inception through to delivery, you will be able to bid for funding, manage programmes and complex projects, work effectively across the organisation and with stakeholders, consult with businesses and the community to deliver high quality outcomes. Delivery of physical, economic and social regeneration will require discipline and the ability to work within a rigorous project management framework. You will be interested in working at all levels and in various locations and thrive under pressure.

Degree or equivalent in a property, planning or other related discipline (or to be able to demonstrate experience of a similar role)

Closing date: 3 December 2023 (23:59)
