This is an exciting opportunity to become an Education Mentor within the Future 4 Me Team. We are looking for an individual that is highly motivated in working with vulnerable adolescents to support their education needs. 

We currently have 2 permanent full time vacancies in Boston/ South Holland & East Lindsay (please advise on your personal statement your preferred option) 

About you

As an Education Mentor you will provide additional support to young people who need help to overcome barriers to learning, working with those young people to support improved attendance or where criminal behaviours are identified as being at risk of non-engagement or exclusion from education, training or employment. 

About the role

You will work closely with members of the Future 4 Me Team to provide support to address young peoples education needs, this will include developing 1:1 mentoring relationships with young people to seek opportunities around education, training and employment.  You will advocate for young people currently out of education, training and employment to secure their re-engagement. You will work closely with Children Services colleagues and work with education providers to support attendance attainment in education, training and employment. You will complete reports and participate in appropriate meetings for young people such as progress meetings and reviews, TAC and CIN meetings. 

You will be required to travel and work in a timely and flexible manner to undertake the duties of the role. This can be a demanding role however one that brings great job satisfaction. 

About the team

Future 4 Me launched County wide in February 2019 and brought together the Council's core offer to adolescents by building on the Youth Offending Team, Youth Hub and Early Help.  Focusing on supporting young people aged 14-18, we have a dedicated hub comprising of staff with a focus on youth housing, diversion for youth justice, child exploitation, community interventions as well as our psychology team.
