Starting Salary: £27,344 progressing to £30,151 pa (pro rata for part-time) - Pay increase pending
Hours: 37 hours per week

Job Duties:
Would you like to be a part of a team that is passionate about promoting the wellbeing of older people and carers? A rare opportunity has arisen in the Broxbourne locality team for a Community Care Officer. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team working with social workers and occupational therapists. Broxbourne is a diverse locality including rural areas so access to a car is essential.
You will have responsibility for undertaking social care assessments and applying the principles of the Care Act 2014. We work in a personalised way with people to empower and encourage independence and positive risk taking.
You will be involved in care and support planning and will work closely with a range of agencies and organisations in the local community.
You need to have good communication skills both in writing and verbally and an ability to evaluate information. An ability to plan your time effectively and respond to competing demands, demonstrating skills in prioritising your workload. You need to understand the principles and core values of adult social care.

Driving Roles Only: As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC Sites/Residences either using your own mode of transport or a company car.
