Winchester City Council has an exciting career opportunity within the South Downs National Park team. The role covers work within the National Park but is based at our offices in Winchester as part of our collaboration with the South Downs National Park Authority.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Officer to help shape the charming historic villages and countryside of the Park.
You will have a keen interest in helping us to protect and improve our environment whilst delivering what matters to the customer. The delivery of high standards of customer care and an ability to keep organised and work within tight timescales is essential as is a full clean driving licence.
The role is suitable for a planner accustomed to dealing with a wide range of pre-application enquiries, planning applications, appeals and post application work. You must be a motivated and well organised worker with a positive outlook who is able to deliver good performance and high standards of customer care. Experience of Planning Committee and Appeals is required and the candidate will be a member of the RTPI or eligible for membership.
