About the role
Working pattern: Term time only
Hours: 15 hours per week 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
Actual starting salary (calculated pro rata): £7,756 + pay award pending
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
Do you have the enthusiasm to help with the safe running of our Afterschool Club?
We are seeking calm and patient Afterschool Club Assistants who will help to encourage our children's development, independence, self-reliance and problem-solving skills. As an Afterschool Club Assistant, you will actively and enthusiastically assist the Afterschool Club Leaders in the safe and organised running of the Afterschool Club.
This will include:
- Assisting with providing high-quality activities whilst offering appropriate stimulation and support to the children
- Assisting in the preparation, serving and tidying away at snack time
- Ensuring that the club is a safe environment for children; the equipment provision is safe and all areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness hygiene standards
You will have:
- A childcare qualification or an NVQ Level 3 in Play work
- Experience of working with children aged 4 to 11 and the ability to relate and engage with them
- Excellent communication skills with a calm and positive approach, with patience and flexibility
