About the role

Are you ready to support people to build on their strengths, enabling them to live full lives within the community and remain as independent as possible?

If you are, then we have an exciting, 1 year fixed term opportunity for a Resource Officer, to join the Adult Social Care, Countywide Reviewing Team. 

Secondments also considered with prior agreement from your Manager.

Your role will be to undertake Care Act (2014) compliant reviews and re-assessments. You will need to be confident and competent in working in a multidisciplinary way, assessing risk, undertaking mental capacity assessments, have knowledge of Safeguarding Adults practice and be willing to develop in these areas. You will have the ability to work flexibly, work to deadlines, to contribute to key projects and to the success of this high achieving team.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of The Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • have excellent communication skills.
  • are committed to training and personal development.
  • can meet the travel requirements of a team who work across the County of East Sussex.

This is a challenging role – but there’s no shortage of rewards either – as the part you play will ensure our service continues to develop, giving positive outcomes for vulnerable people who have been assessed as meeting the Adult Social Care Eligibility Criteria.

Our flexible working arrangements allow for a mix of being home and office based throughout the week.

Resource Officer role has a full-time annual salary of £32,037 - £34,452.
