This is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking Planning Development Management Team in a newly created post, to provide efficient and effective technical and administrative support to the team, including specific support and development in the use of the planning system database and associated software to continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency.
You will be a member of the Planning Support Team ensuring that a range of both specialised and general administrative and support duties are undertaken according to the needs of the Planning Service. In addition, the post-holder will have a particular aptitude and enthusiasm for IT systems to support the development of planning and related software to enhance service delivery.
You should have good literacy and numeracy skills and hold a post-16 qualification in ICT, data management, systems administration or similar (or equivalent relevant experience).
You must have experience of information management, administrative procedures, and be confident in the use of IT systems. You will have a strong customer focus, commitment to service quality and improvement, be well organised with attention to detail and accuracy, and a willingness to work flexibly to allow for changing priorities within service areas.
