Salary: Starting salary £17,082.75
Work Location: Winchester City Council, Colebrook St, Winchester SO23 9LJ
Hours: 37 hours per week including attendance at an agreed college.
Contract Type: Temporary (2 year fixed term)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Support Assistant. The ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, organised, customer focused and a team player. You will also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written at all levels, and to use your initiative to problem solve and find solutions.

APPRENTICESHIP OVERVIEW:
This is a Business Support Assistant role, beginning with a 24-month Apprenticeship programme, at the end of which you will have learned to work flexibly across a variety of tasks, contributing to and supporting the delivery of a high-quality service to internal and external customers. This includes receipt and sorting incoming post, printing, document scanning and indexing, enveloping, outbound post and document verification services.
Winchester City Council’s apprenticeship scheme is a great way to gain valuable work experience while working towards a recognised qualification. Your time will be spent studying at an agreed College and working within the Business Support Team where you will have the opportunity to put your new skills to the test and provide technical and administrative support. The council will fully support you in your learning and ‘off the job’ training.

Level 3 Business Administrator

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants will need to be educated to GCSE level or above with excellent communication and IT literacy skills. Training will be provided but ideally some experience of working within this environment would be helpful.
