Neighbourhood Family Outreach Manager
Family Hubs
The Family Hubs programme is a new Government funded programme.
We want all families in Waltham Forest to have access to the services and the support they need; as well as fun and education activities within easy reach of their home, so we’re making sure our families are at the heart of everything we do.
Our new family hubs will be based in neighbourhoods offering families health services, employment support, creative play and parenting programmes
We know that families need support and activities no matter the age of their children and our new hubs will offer relevant support for different stages of family life
The family hub will be a one stop shop to access the support you and your family need, and will be available outside of the regular 9-5 hours
Are you passionate about services that support families? Then join our team!
We’re looking for people who are passionate about giving families the best possible support in their community, reaching those who have been previously under serviced and creating neighbourhoods where fun, creative and educational activities are within reach of all families
Our team has a shared sense of unity, support and community building at the heart of what we do.
We have recently developed our three year delivery plan and have the programme architecture and governance in place. The programme is a large, complex and fast moving programme.
In this role, you will engage with families across Waltham Forest to welcome them into Family Hubs and help them to maximise the support provided. You will ensure that families in previously underserved communities are aware of and can easily access Family Hubs services. This may be through the family support phoneline, through work with schools and the VCS to engage children and families, or outreach to the homes of parents and carers.
This role requires an excellent standard of customer service and interpersonal skills. You also need to have a good level of organisation as well as experience with partnership working. The successful candidate will also have proven initiative and judgement to identify and resolve problems.
Relevant experience of the service area is needed, with evidence of specialist knowledge and a wider understanding of the current provision for families in Waltham Forest.
We’re proud to work in our family hubs programme. Why not join us?
