This role has a starting salary of £34,356 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

We are excited to be recruiting a new Business Support Officer to provide support for our excellent team of administrators, tasked with assisting with our Educational Psychology service.

About the Role

In Children, Families and Learning, we provide a range of highly specialist services to vulnerable children and young people. Services are delivered directly to children and their families within extensive statutory frameworks and staff working in these areas need specialist knowledge in order to deliver effective services to these high risk and high need groups.

You will manage and develop a new, small team of two administrators to deliver a high quality and efficient administration to the Educational Psychology Service to assist in delivering the overall aim of the service to improve outcomes for children with additional needs.

You will be highly organised, willing to take responsibility and use initiative, be comfortable in setting your own priorities and meeting deadlines. You will lead the way in assessing and implementing process improvements constantly and consistently to improve the performance of the Administration Team and Educational Psychology Service and increase customer satisfaction.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of leading, co-ordinating and developing a busy team
  • Has high level administrative and skills working with highly confidential information in a customer focused environment
  • Has high level workflow management, monitoring, data analysis and reporting skills
  • Is confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to work
  • Has excellent IT skills and is proficient in using Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience of recruitment processes and supporting key staff with contract management and review

An basic DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) will be required for this role.
