Would you like to work outdoors, meet lots of people and gain a real sense of community? Do you have a little time to spear? Why not join us as a Road Crossing Patrol Officer!
This is an opportunity to make a positive impact in your local community, both being appreciated and instantly recognised.
You will become a friendly face to parents, children, and road users as you carry out your duties, providing an invaluable service to your community in helping cross the roads safely.
We are offering daily term-time work with regular pay twelve months of the year.
We believe that the working hours of a Road Crossing Patrol allow a good work/life balance and often suit people who have other interests or work or life commitments but are looking for that bit of extra income. Some patrols work other occupations between morning and afternoon sessions.
Key duties include:
- To carry out the Council’s policy with regard to the School Crossing Patrol Service
which includes Health and Safety Procedures.
- To use all uniform and equipment provided for the safety of yourself, children and all other members of the public, when stopping traffic on the Highway.
- Maintain control over children who are awaiting your instructions to cross.
- Report any problems or difficulties to the Manager of the SCP service.
We look forward to hearing from you!
