About the role
Hurst is a thriving, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils age 4-18 situated in the West Sussex countryside. The College comprises a Sixth Form, Senior School, Senior Prep, and Junior Prep with over 1,300 pupils in all.
Situated within a 140-acre Campus this superb location is just 20 minutes from the city and beaches of Brighton and Hove, whilst London train stations can be reached in under an hour.
We are looking to appoint an experienced 2IC/SSI to join our Combined Cadet Force.
Hurstpierpoint College’s CCF, then the OTC was one of the first five to be founded on 18th June 1860. It has a long history and continues to be a main selling point of the college as one of the top activities offered by the school.
The CCF today has just over 300 Cadets making it one of the largest in the country. The CCF parades weekly with all 3 services (RN, Army & RAF) represented and each with their own programme. The CCF is compulsory in Year 10 but optional for all further years where the CCF sees good retention rates.
Salary: Up to £30,000 dependent upon qualifications and previous experience. Salaries are reviewed annually.

The College will double the employees’ pension contribution up to 7½% (i.e. the maximum total contributions will be 22½%).
