We the Early Help Service are looking to recruit a Consultant Social Worker on a permanent full time basis.

The Early Help Service is passionate about providing early help support to vulnerable children and young people of Liverpool. As a Consultant Social Worker you will be responsible for supervising a team of Outreach Family Support Workers and Social Workers who are passionate about delivering strength based early interventions that help families to achieve positive changes and improve the long term outcomes for their children.

The main duties of this role are:

  • to triage referrals and identify families in need of early help support
  • to support staff to utilise a strength based approach throughout their practice
  • to provide regular, high quality, reflective supervision to staff
  • to ensure that the work completed by the team is achieving positive outcomes for children and young people

The successful candidate must have a good understanding of strength based practice, have strong social work experience in assessment and safeguarding teams, ideally having supervised family support workers, students or social workers.
