We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our Planning Enforcement Team to support and contribute to delivering our vision in protecting the quality of life of our residents. Our team is a friendly, small based team with highly skilled planning officers that are always happy to help and support.

 

About the role

This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to carry out a wide variety of Planning Enforcement work, including:

  • Undertaking site visits
  • Investigating and resolving potential breaches of planning control
  • Analysing development proposals
  • Gathering evidence and writing follow-up letters, statements and reports
  • Investigations which may lead to enforcement notices and prosecution proceedings
  • Communication with residents, Councillors and other development professionals

 

About you

You will have strong communication skills in order to negotiate resolutions to planning breaches and manage the concerns of affected residents.

We are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic and self-motivated officer
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, Excel, TEAMS, Sharepoint
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload
  • Proven team working skills
  • A good problem solver and have a flexible approach to your work.
  • It is essential that you hold a full driving licence
