1 to 1 SEND Teaching Assistant (Autism)
:1 Teaching Assistant for pupil with Autism – Rowan High School – LA Funded Post
Are you passionate about learning and determined to make a real difference?
We are seeking to appoint a committed and inspirational Teaching Assistant who is able to obtain the best outcomes for our pupils.
Rowan High School (annexe to Rowan Park School) supports young people aged 11 – 19 years, with a diagnosis of autism. This post is to support a young person with autism and additional medical needs, which will involve some personal care (full training will be provided if no previous experience). Pupils usually join us in Y7 from mainstream primary schools and in-year from local high schools. Due to the School’s continued success and increase of pupils on roll, the Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a young person with autism, who requires additional support to engage in a learning environment.
The post is funded by the Local Authority and is based within Rowan High School. Please note that funding is in place whilst the pupil attends the school. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for working with children and young people with disabilities and is committed to ensuring everyone achieves success in their academic, social and independent skills. Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for further details.
