Our service has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Trainee Children and Young People’s Systemic Family Practitioner (CYP IAPT Recruit to Train Practitioner) . The postholder will train on a Postgraduate Children & Young People Mental Health Therapy course and carry out clinical work as an employee in our service. You will work within the Brighton and Hove Children and Young People's Wellbeing service, which is a service delivered in partnership between YMCA DownsLink Group and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This will equip the post-holder to provide interventions for children, young people or families using evidence-based interventions based on CYP-IAPT care principles and also interventions consistent with the Systemic approach.

This role is based on site, you will work in the service for at least 2.5 - 4 days of the week whilst attending the training programme for the remaining 1 - 2.5 days.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic mental health practitioners to work and train within our service. You will have at minimum a second-class bachelor’s degree from a UK University or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject. Applicants with relevant professional experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. You will also have a registerable professional qualification in a relevant subject from a UK university or equivalent. Applications may be considered from those who do not have a registerable professional training if you have at least 3 years’ experience in a CAMHS or an equivalent setting. The ideal applicant will also have at least two years' experience of working with children / young people in a mental health setting.
